God is so good. We are breathing a huge sigh of relief as we share that Jake’s Cardiac Cath is complete. The team was able to successfully biopsy his heart, and his pressures looked fine. However, during the procedure, the doctors discovered some clotting near the area where his SVC (Superior Vena Cava) connected to his pulmonary artery from his previous Glenn anatomy. This connection is right near where his new heart is connected now.
ln what we can only describe as a miracle, the team was able to intervene immediately and remove them before they became a huge problem or even have any clear symptoms. They were able to place a stent to open up any narrowing they observed at the same time. We are so hopeful that with a little time, this repair will help resolve several smaller things we have been keeping an eye on.
It feels like God revealed exactly what needed to be fixed to help Jacob turn the next corner. We are just overflowing with gratitude for your prayers this morning. We truly felt them covering us. Today was a clear testament to God’s faithfulness, granting us another miracle just when we needed it. We continue to trust in His perfect timing.
“You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.” — Psalm 77:14
Great news for sure! Tell Jake to keep it up, he will be home before he knows it.
Great news! Happy Thanksgiving , Jacob
