Gastric Port

Jasper underwent a surgey on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 to replace his nasal-gastric tube with a gastric port.  This device allows formula and other liquids to be placed directly into Jasper’s stomach and alleviates the need for the long tube going down his throat.  We hope that the gastric port will reduce the mucus draining from his sinuses and allow Jasper to swallow more efficiently.  Jasper’s epiglotis doesn’t react as rapidly as it should but  without the tube going down his throat his epiglotis may begin to function as it should. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers on Jasper’s behalf they are greatly appreciated.  As soon as I get a photo of him without the nasal-gastric tube, I will publish it here.
