As of last Friday, 1/8/2021, Lavender is now officially on the UNOS transplant list.  Her spot on the list is low, as her MELD score is only 13 (average MELD at transplant is around 30).

She also met with the Immunology department at UCSF.  She will be doing genetic testing to check for genetic abnormalities that could be the underlying cause for all her issues.  That may or may not give us any answers, but it’s worth finding out,especially because it could have an impact on the transplant.

Mostly we have been “keeping on keeping on”.  Lav has her next banding surgery on Thursday 1/22.  Good thoughts are always appreciated, as well as notes, phone calls and texts, since Lav has been mostly isolated for the last year.

As usual, no news is good news, and I will be updating here (rather than on caring bridge) from now on.
