These past six days, we’ve had Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy come to evaluate and practice new therapies with Magnolia. Today, she sat on a stool by herself for the first time. She is able to grab things on both sides and has really improved her core strength. Her mobility has impressed every doctor, nurse and therapist so far. They’ve said that she is doing far better at this rate than they anticipated. Her improvement has been extraordinary these past two days.

Both, Brian and Rubia, are now training for care after discharge with medications, which includes 2 daily shots. This has been the new hardest task for them both physically and emotionally. Please pray for Brian and Rubia.

Durante estos últimos seis días, los equipos de fisioterapia y terapia ocupacional han venido a evaluar a Magnolia y a poner en práctica nuevas terapias con ella. Hoy, por primera vez, se sentó sola en una silla. Ya es capaz de agarrar objetos a ambos lados y ha mejorado notablemente la fuerza. Su movilidad ha impresionado hasta ahora a todos los médicos, enfermeros y terapeutas. Han comentado que, a este ritmo, su progreso es mucho más favorable de lo que habían previsto. Su mejoría ha sido extraordinaria en estos dos últimos días.

Tanto Brian como Rubia se están capacitando ahora para los cuidados posteriores al alta, lo que incluye la administración de medicamentos y dos inyecciones diarias.
