Things are slowly moving along with Magnolia’s recovery, and it is such a blessing to see every little bit of progress.
Yesterday, Magnolia and her family made the trip back home from Duke just in time for a very special moment: Zinnia’s first day of school!
After everything their family has been through these past several months, moments like this mean more than words can express. Being able to come home and have the family together as Zinnia got ready for her first day and walked into school was such a beautiful reminder that, even in the middle of uncertainty and recovery, life continues to give them little moments to celebrate.
Seeing Magnolia so happy to be with Zinnia and experience these big milestones together has been so heartwarming. The family continues to travel back and forth to Duke, follow the transplant team’s instructions, and pray over every test, appointment, and decision.
But yesterday, they got to be home. They got to be together. And today, they get to celebrate sweet Zinnia as she starts another chapter. These moments are not taken for granted, and having the opportunity for Magnolia and Zinnia to simply be together is truly wonderful.
Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for Magnolia, support her family, check in on them, and cheer these girls on. Your love and support continue to carry them through some of the hardest days, as well as the exciting ones like today.
Las cosas continúan avanzando poco a poco en la recuperación de Magnolia, y es una gran bendición poder ver cada pequeño progreso.
Ayer, Magnolia y su familia hicieron el viaje de regreso a casa desde Duke, justo a tiempo para un momento muy especial: ¡el primer día de clases de Zinnia!
Después de todo lo que su familia ha enfrentado durante estos últimos meses, momentos como este significan más de lo que las palabras pueden expresar. Poder regresar a casa y estar todos juntos mientras Zinnia se preparaba para su primer día y entraba a la escuela fue un hermoso recordatorio de que, aun en medio de la incertidumbre y la recuperación, la vida continúa regalándoles pequeños momentos para celebrar.
Ver a Magnolia tan feliz de estar junto a Zinnia y poder compartir estos momentos tan importantes ha sido algo muy especial. La familia continúa viajando de ida y vuelta a Duke, siguiendo las indicaciones del equipo de trasplante y orando por cada estudio, cita y decisión.
Pero ayer pudieron estar en casa. Pudieron estar juntos. Y hoy pueden celebrar a la dulce Zinnia mientras comienza un nuevo capítulo. Estos momentos no se dan por sentado, y tener la oportunidad de que Magnolia y Zinnia simplemente puedan estar juntas es verdaderamente maravilloso.
Gracias a todos los que continúan orando por Magnolia, apoyando a su familia, preguntando cómo están y animando a estas niñas. Su amor y apoyo continúan sosteniéndolos tanto en algunos de los días más difíciles como en los momentos emocionantes como el de hoy.
