Just a small update for everyone following along. Over the week and a half Sabrina had been struggling with vomiting after her feeds, which was scary and exhausting for all of us. The team made a change on Sunday to switch her to continuous feeds, and she has been able to keep everything down since then.
For anyone unfamiliar, a continuous feed means that instead of giving her milk all at once, she gets it very slowly over time through her tube. It’s gentler on her stomach and can help prevent the nausea and vomiting she’s been having.
It’s a huge relief to see her more comfortable and not getting sick after eating. We’re taking things one step at a time, but this feels like a very good one.
Thank you for keeping Sabrina in your thoughts and for continuing to support us through all of this. It means more than we can say.
