GOOD NEWS FOR ALICE!

Some additional antigen testing was performed at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital in Stanford and the family has been advised that Alice can accept a liver from a donor of blood type, O, A or B!  This greatly increases her odds of getting a liver soon!  (But 22 people die every day waiting for an organ.)

Did you know?  You can donate a lobe of liver and still end up with a whole liver?  The lobe donated will also regenerate and create a whole liver for the the individual who did not previously have a healthy liver.  Now THAT’S a gift that keeps on giving!

If you are considering being a live donor, please check out the link below for more information and the screening questionnaire.
