Hello Cassidy Nation! Quick update on our diva… Cassidy has been doing well. Our favorite quote that captures where she is came from her sister Hailey: “Cassidy is just so happy – she is dancing around the house all the time and giggling about everything.” And it’s true, she clearly has more energy and feeling better shows up in her everyday mood. To be honest, shortly after transplant, we received many questions about the much-anticipated energy that we were expecting her to have, and we did not have a great answer. But it just seems like it just took a little time with her, but it happened! She really is a different person, and when you think about it, she has better kidney function than she has ever had, like ever-ever! We are profoundly thankful to God for that. Still, organ transplantation is rarely simple, so we are having to get blood tests more regularly right now to more closely track some things that are not ideal. But it should all be manageable and we are thankful for how far she has come. Thanks to so many of you who have supported Cassidy in so many ways. Go Team Cassidy!
