It’s been just over 7 weeks since transplant and a couple weeks since our last update. We are pleased to report that Cassidy has been doing well as it has been a calm couple weeks…

We are still watching a couple areas of concern, but we have been able to enjoy more and more time in between doctor visits, so life feels a little closer to normal. All-in-all, we feel good with where things are at for now and we continue to trust God with all the crazy that we can’t control.
Cassidy has even been able to enjoy a couple normal summer things. We had the 4th of July festivities at home as a family, and she was able to take a boat ride a few days before that, thanks to some friends who were kind enough to take her out. She is well enough from a surgery/wound standpoint to ride in a boat with moderate bouncing, but something you may not know is that she can’t get in lake water. When a person is on immunosuppressant drugs they are too susceptible to bacteria infections. And if she were to come down with some nasty infection, things would get difficult quickly. But the truth is, Cassidy has always preferred to be in the boat, so she had a great time!
Anyways, we wanted to let everyone know our general status after being quiet for a couple weeks. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Our family feels loved.
