Hi everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know that we got a 4:00am call that they have found a kidney for Max!
It is a really good one, and the surgeon said it is just as good as—or possibly even better than—the living donor kidney. Max will most likely be having his transplant surgery this evening!
You are welcome to message us with any questions, positive thoughts, prayers, or words of encouragement. I don’t know if I will be able to respond to everyone, but please know how much we appreciate all of your love and support. We will make posts throughout the day with updates and let everyone know how things are going.
Right now, we don’t know much other than that his surgery will most likely be this evening. Please keep Max, his donor and their family, and the entire medical team in your thoughts and prayers today.
