We just had the most amazing experience with Sarah. As you know she’s still on the breathing tube. Jerry and I were talking to her and she opened her eyes and tried talking. We could not figure out what she was saying. The nurse asked if she wanted to write it and she shook her head yes. I was expecting her to say, I want the tube out, I don’t like the arm restraints, something hurts. No, she writes that she wants monkey
!! When someone called it a boy she made sure everyone knew it was a girl and it’s name is Monke! 
!! When someone called it a boy she made sure everyone knew it was a girl and it’s name is Monke! She was still pretty sedated, but being able to have her write to us was so special. On top of that Allie happened to FaceTime during all of this and Sarah wrote “hi” and waved to her. I LOVE this girl. Vitals remained stable during her awake time. Respiratory will start working on numbers tonight so we can hopefully get the tube out in the morning. You will see she wrote chest tube several times, we were never able to figure that one out. She would fall asleep then wake up and write again
