Today, we had Bexley’s liver transplant clinic. I think I counted 17 or more tubes when they did labs.😟Unfortunately, her liver enzymes continue to be high. The team has decided they want her to be on a daily prophylactic antibiotic. The best one is currently listed as an allergy in her chart. After her visit with the transplant hepatologist we met with an allergy specialist. They challenged one of the antibiotics that recently caused her to have hives. When the doctor came in and asked Bex what the medicine tasted like Bex looked at her and said, “like crap!” We had a good laugh about that! Bex is always keeping it real! Next week we will go back to challenge the other med to see if it will be safe for her to take everyday.
