Update 4/17: UNC has done what they could do to stop the bleeding. While the procedure did slow the bleeding, unfortunately Bex is still bleeding from an esophageal varice; a symptom of her liver disease.
She has had multiple blood transfusions and fortunately her hemoglobin is back to a stable range. She is still under anesthesia and on a breathing tube.
We will be transported to Duke to meet with their liver specialists tonight. We will be discussing temporary fixes and also a liver transplant.
Thank you all for comments, texts, and calls. PLEASE KEEP PRAYING!
