Today at 3:20 pm, we got a call from Duke that there is a living donor match for Bexley. I immediately lost my breath and told her I would have to call her back when I got Jay. I knew this was coming, but today, it just became real. Jay and I called her back together and talked through some questions we had. Her transplant is scheduled for 8/28, but we will have to be there the day before for overnight fluids and labs. It is also Selah’s first day of school. Honestly, I have cried all day thinking about this. My momma heart is so concerned and fearful and sad she needs this in the first place. Please pray for us as we navigate this new life and journey to transplant. Pray for the precious donor that has selflessly chosen to help another through organ donation. Please pray for my sunshine girl, Bexley. Pray that everything goes well for her and that she experiences no complications, pain, infections, or rejection. Please pray for Selah and that through this, she will feel so loved as she will be away from her sister and her dad and me a lot. Pray for Jay and me. We have always believed that God has equipped us to care for these two beautiful gifts from God we get to call our daughters. We have witnessed God show up and His miraculous hand working. We are believing and trusting He has got this. He has got our little sunshine girl!🙏🧡🌻
