Today was a good day!🌻 Bex got up and moved and played a lot today. She worked with PT and went for a walk, kicked the ball, and even climbed some steps. She was able to eat a few bites of jello and broth and tolerated it well. She got a visit from her favorite nurse, Miss Jackie, which totally made her day and a visit from Luna the dog! We are still waiting for her bowels to wake, so keep praying that happens soon! Some of her labs changed, but the doctor said it is normal for them to fluctuate, especially this soon after transplant. Keep praying with us for no rejection, no infection, and no complications. Pray she tolerates all her meds well.
There was a lot of education today with different doctors from the transplant team. It feels like a mountain in front of us, but we know God has gone before us. He is with us and will not leave us on this journey. He never has, and never will.
Every time I think of what that donor did for Bexley, it makes me want to cry. I hope we get to meet them one day to thank them. Pray for that precious person and their healing as well.
Finally, everyone, please say a special prayer for my sweet Selah. She woke with covid this morning. I wish so bad I could be with her. She is being so responsible and understanding with her dad and me not being there. I am so grateful to my friends who are helping us with her.
