Could use all the love and prayers! Bex and I had a very long night. She started having abdominal pain, so we got in the car to head to Duke. About an hour in our trip, her pain became so severe I had to call 911 to have them direct us to the nearest hospital, which thankfully was only a couple miles away. We arrived at a hospital in the middle of nowhere, and she sat there in so much pain for HOURS while they arranged transportation to Duke. Duke LifeFlight arrived about 3am. I was not allowed to ride with her, which is a first. I’ve always been able to ride with her in the ambulances and on the helicopter. The Duke Life Flight folks were so good with Bex and sent text updates the whole time. They loved her little personality and kept commenting on how sweet and smart she is! 🌻 We finally made it to Duke by about 5:30am. Bex must have really loved them because they knew our whole life story by the time we all reunited! We are admitted, and they are trying to figure out what caused so much pain.

It was so hard following behind her and not being in that ambulance with her. So I put on my worship music and worshiped the God who has never failed me, and it gave me great peace!

Bex is still in pain but feeling so much better than she was. We are grateful to be at our hospital.
