Everyone, please say a prayer for my little sunshine girl. She woke up with severe abdominal pain and a really high fever, so of course, our Duke team wanted us to come in. She has had several antibiotics, labs, and tests. We have been admitted for at least a few days while they do their complete workup. She was feeling much better tonight, but she still has a fever. Pray for no infection, rejection, or complications.
And let me just tell you how precious this child really is… When we first arrived at the ER, there was a woman who waved us over so Bex could sit down. The ER was full, so I was just holding her and staying away from others to avoid germs. The woman assured me the chair had been open, and nobody sick had been over in that corner. She was hooked to an IV. She went on to tell me how she has leukemia and had been there for several hours. Her name was Jennifer. Well, tonight, when we said our prayers, this precious child lifted that woman’s name to the Father. She was feeling SO bad but had overheard our conversation and remembered that woman’s name and prayed for her. Her heart is so precious. 💛🌻💛
