If I only knew 3 years ago how God was preparing me…
This date (September 20th) holds so much significance.
Three years ago, after suffering such great loss after losing my dad, my mom, and both of my brothers, I leaned on God like never before. I consumed myself daily with His word. Three years ago was the first time I finished the Bible cover to cover! I didn’t know then just how much I needed to read those precious words. Honestly, I just can not get enough. I continue to learn so much as I continue to read!
Two years ago, my baby girl walked out of Duke hospital following her liver transplant. Between finishing the Bible and this day, I did not know how desperately I would need the wisdom found in those pages. Her hospital room stayed covered in the world of God. Some were cards Selah and I made, and some were written by our precious church family!
One year ago, we were discharged again after she experienced a complication of transplant and needed a bile duct drain. This was also the first day she had normal liver labs following her transplant.
Today, on September 20th, 2026, Jay and I watched our children take the next step in their faith in Jesus and were baptized by our wonderful pastor!
I shared all of that to share this:
The Lord has been FAITHFUL…again and again and again. He takes what is broken and makes things new in His time and in His way, not ours! What a friend we have in Jesus!
