If you are looking here you have heard that Katie is very ill. We want to thank you for your love and care for her. She is currently in the ICU at the hospital. She was identified as being in renal failure at the ER, and since has been diagnosed with PTLD (https://www.kidney.org/atoz/content/post-transplant-lymphoproliferative-disorder-ptld). She has Burkitts Lymphoma/Leukemia (https://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/diseases/5973/burkitt-lymphoma).
Her body is in distress due to cancer and the inflammation throughout her body. There are multiple teams of doctors coordinating to plan her best treatments and determine where that inflammation is coming from. She is on chemotherapy and on 24/7 dialysis to protect her kidney.
