We apologize for the delay in writing an update on Katie. She fought hard but passed away 1 month ago today – February 6th. Our hearts are full of great memories of her and her love, wit, drive, and bravery throughout her life. The time she spent in the ICU was no exception. She was a beautiful ray of sunshine to all that met her in the hospital and amazed her friends and family daily as she showed strength beyond expectations. We look forward to seeing her again when our times come to join her.
The family would like to thank everyone that has loved Katie and her family. The prayers, support, and love were felt throughout this journey, and they will never forget it. COTA’s support has been a God-send, and this page will continue to support Allison as she faces the inevitability of a needed kidney transplant.
