Happy New Year! 

The Kulman boys started ringing in the new year around 8 am with party hats and horns. They managed to stay up till a whopping 7:30 PM. (who can blame them!) : ) 

It’s been a few weeks of renewed hope and renewed energy for the Kulman family. When chatting with a few family and friends this week they just “seemed like themselves” again – as evidenced by this amazing Jakey video!

At Eli’s clinic visit yesterday it was determined that he can have his broviac central line removed! This will be an outpatient visit (though he will have to go under anesthesia) on Jan 13th. This is a huge step forward in the family’s ability to return to Virginia. Along with last week’s initial engraftment study results (100% donor cells!), they are now hoping to return sooner than originally anticipated! Woohoo!

Speaking of returning, the boys returned to virtual school this week. They were excited to see their classmates and teachers. It’s definitely a bit tiring to keep up with everything but the excitement is keeping them going!
