Echo update from his parents:
At around 9:30 AM this morning Ariel noticed that Echo was running low grade fever and with his transplant coming up real soon, we were worried and call Cairo Pediatric to have him checked out. They ran all the panels and checked for everything and all was coming up negative. They went and had labs done again around 2:00-3:00 PM. Around 3:30 Ariel was headed to bainbridge to drop BR for drama camp and Ariel noticed that Echo didn’t seem right and almost not breathing.
Ariel rushed him back to the hospital ER in Cairo. He was still running fever with chills. A little dehydrated, but stable. Thankfully Aunt Danielle Nicole Dollar was there to take care of us.
We finally got a hold of CHOA coordinator and decided to send Echo to CHOA Egleston by life flight out of precaution and being so close to transplant.
Ariel got on the helicopter to ride with Echo and is arriving there shortly. I came home to get our stuff and drive up tonight.
Thank you everyone that helped today, those of have helped the past few days, and those who may be of help in the coming days. We can’t thank you enough.
Not sure what will happen the next few days, but we are hoping for the best.
