It’s finally here. We have had many bumps in the road to get here, but we are thankful for Echo’s opportunity to finally get to this point. It truly takes a village of support for us to be here with Echo. Emmerich came with Shelby Williams (Echo’s Godmother) to see Echo before his surgery and Ezra and BriarRose spent the night with Ashley and Jorge Spät. We are so beyond thankful for our friends and family stepping up to help us and our kids. Thank you cousin Sophie for being Echo’s donor for his new kidney. Your selfless act of kindness will give Echo a new chance at a healthier life. God bless you, your health, safe surgery for both you and Echo, and the surgeons and nurses that will be performing these miracles today. Surgery will start at 7:30 AM for Sophie and they will begin to prep Echo around 7:30 AM as well. Surgery could last anywhere between 4-8 hour’s depending on how things go during surgery and if they decide to remove any of the native kidneys and/or remove his PD catheter. We will update any new info as soon as we know anything from his doctors.
Thank You for being on this Journey with us. Also please peep the cute Kidney Plush they gave him when we arrived.
