Easter weekend was fantastic for Elijah and family! From visiting the Easter Bunny to a wonderful day at Chicago’s Ohio St. Beach with Mom, Dad and Siblings, Elijah is getting a great look at the world outside of the fluorescent buzz of hospital lighting. After much consideration, he has been released from the hospital to his “home away from home” to stay with family in a much more home-like and family environment at the Ronald McDonald House on 4/22/19. His stay there will be for a minimum of 2 to, possibly, 4 weeks where an at-home nurse is providing daily care.

Mom and Dad have been thoroughly trained on maintaining and managing his picc line and daily administration of medications with the ultimate goal of getting back to their true home.
