Back to school! Evan is entering into his Freshman year of high school! It’s been a good start he has even been cleared to start baseball workouts. He also turned 15 and got his permit.. watch out!

I have said it before post transplant is not a cure, it’s just a new journey with new ups and downs. Our biggest struggle currently is medication dosing for him, over the past few weeks his numbers have been rising. We are not sure the cause, however we are so blessed to have an amazing team of doctors at UNC that look after every detail.

Evan did just have a biopsy to make sure there are no signs of rejection, please pray we have good results! This will also give the doctors a better idea of possible reasons and ways to move forward.

In the mean time we are happy to report weekly blood draws have reduced to 1 time a week and UNC visits are spread out to 1 time a month.
