Partial Cath Results
Praise the Lord Ela’s cath went smoothly and without complication yesterday as well as her port placement procedure. The cath showed that her heart pressures were actually pretty good which was encouraging to hear.
However, preliminary biopsy results are showing that she still has antibody mediated rejection (AMR) present. This is a little discouraging since her antibody tests came back negative recently. They also took 2 more biopsies during the cath for a new testing measurement that’s starting to be used at CHOP. These MMDx results we hope fills in part of the puzzle regarding Ela’s clinical picture. Along with these, we are still waiting on Allosure results too.
Another big piece to this is her echo continues to show a severely hypertrophied (thick) septum.
The team will conference on her on Monday and Tuesday to figure out possible next steps once the remaining data comes in. Again, as you all know, Ela’s situation is not typical and there are decisions to be made…complicated ones. We covet your prayers in the decision-making.

Prayers for healing for Ela, for the decisions that will need to be made regarding medicine/procedures, timing, etc. Prayers for the doctors, nurses, and others in the health care circle. Prayers for peace and for (much needed, I’m sure) rest for all of you, prayers for the boys at home and for the Grandparents and others caring for them. It’s so good to see Ela is able to enjoy fun activities while in the hospital – I love her sweet smile!

We are continuing to pray for you all as you seek daily God’s wisdom for Ella. Many witnesses are watching you and I’m sure Jesus is glorified. Sometimes the trials we go through in life aren’t even for us there for those who are witnessing our lives before Jesus.
