Gillian has been flying through her goals the last 2 days. Off the vent, sitting in a chair more often, sitting upright in bed, and she is off oxygen completely! Her blood sugars have been pretty stable and she is tolerating the j-tube feeds.
This morning the team decided she was ready to leave the ICU, and we head to the GI/surgical floor in just a few short hours. Her care here has truly been incredible. Her nurses and doctors have been so kind and caring toward Gillian (and us), even through all the difficulties, they have made sure we understood everything that was happening and that she is being well taken care of. We could not have asked for a better team to take care of this amazing lady!!
