Drive-Thru Dinner Fundraiser

Gillian’s aunt held a successful fundraiser for COTA in honor of Gillian’s TPIAT in her neighborhood in Bluffdale, Utah! Calling upon a neighbor and friend, Brady Greenhalgh, who’s an incredible caterer, they set up a drive-thru dinner pickup for Cinco de Mayo. For just $35 for a couple or $55 for a family, folks could enjoy professionally prepared street tacos, Mexican corn, cilantro lime rice, and all the fixings. Supporters just drove by to pick up their meal and sent payment in by Venmo. (This is the same set-up Brady had arranged during the pandemic to both keep his team employed and keep the neighborhood fed during a stressful time for everyone! And the whole neighborhood has been missing Brady’s meals!)

Brady’s company, Green Hollow Catering, generously donated every dollar raised to COTA for Gillian’s TPIAT. The evening brought in $3,500 and served meals to 59 families. Huge thanks to the wonderful neighbors and friends who showed up to support the fundraiser.

Gillian was even able to be there for part of the time to help hand out meals, until she needed to head back to the house and rest, as she still tires very easily.

And of course, it rained like cats and dogs, but that didn’t stop us from having a great time and raising money for a wonderful cause.
