It has been a rough road in the ICU. At first they had trouble getting her pain under control. Then it was finding the balance of pain management and managing her itching from the pain meds. She was still a freaking rockstar, she pulled her own NG tube and has been advanced to regular diet. She doesn’t want anything to do with food yet, but it’s an option. In Rounds this morning they decided she isn’t getting anything here in the ICU that she can’t get on the floor. Hoping she will be able to be in the GI unit this afternoon.
