Gillian had another rough night with no sleep. 😞 Her pain increased and was constant through the night. We attributed it to being more active with cousins here but the surgeon, Dr. Nathan wanted some imaging just to make sure everything looked ok. Unfortunately she has some cellulitis near her incision and they started her on antibiotics right away. The pain team rounded this morning and added more meds in with the antibiotics to help with her increased pain. She was pretty bummed this morning, we were looking forward to discharge this afternoon, but we will likely be here until Tuesday or Wednesday. Cousins Jensyn and Keira flew in on Thursday evening to visit and cheer Gillian up and they have done an outstanding job. Even though Gillian was pretty upset this morning these amazing ladies cheered her right up and made the day so memorable. They pampered her all weekend with a trip to the BlueJackets Family room where they washed her hair & laughed the whole time.❤️ we’ve watched some good movies and a few crappy ones, colored, DoorDashed, walked all over the hospital and even got outside for a picnic. Cousins are the best and we are so grateful for this amazing weekend filled with laughter and memories. Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers!
