Update 6/18/2020

Yesterday was our monthly visit to CMH.  It was a day filled with mixed emotions.  Will be a year in a couple weeks that we took his kidney out. The original plan was we would be ready for a transplant by now.  However, Hayden can’t go active on the transplant list until we can get the HHV6 virus out of his system.  The virus has actually increased the last three months.  So, it is going to be a longer road on dialysis than we had planned on.  His DSA’s are still high.  So the doctors are trying to figure out a plan B for trying to get rid of this virus.

Hayden also contracted Ecoli a couple weeks ago so we are dealing with GI issues.  He has good days and not so good days.

Dialysis seems to be going well.  We run treatments on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sundays.  From start to finish we spend 4 hours each evening running treatment. We are thankful for the opportunity to do dialysis at home so mom and dad can still work.  Mom is back to the office and Dad is working from home.  Hayden is missing the social interaction from friends.  He is tired of mom and dad all the time.  We try to make the best it and have some fun along the way.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and encouragement.

Crystal
