Where did the time go?

I can’t believe that it has been 2 months since my last update. I have to attribute that to everything becoming more routine. Once a month to clinic, 2x a day meds and being able to interact with people has all benefited to feelings of normalcy.
Last year we were unable to travel, and we were restricted in types of activities we could do– not being able to get wet meant no swimming, kayaking, and trips to the beach were out.
This year we have planned little weekend get-a-ways each month so that we can catch up on some fun and memory making. This month we took the kids to NYC for the weekend. We saw all the landmarks (Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Time Square) and we ate the iconic foods (pizza, bagels, hotdog cart hotdogs) we commented on the stench of the city, took the subway (with gobs of hand sanitizer at the ready), walked thru the park, and saw a Broadway play!
Next month we are taking them to Canada (NE by extension?). It will be fun to explore this city with them, I have only ever been to Victoria Island (West Coast) and Quebec. My daughter currently loves everything French so I am sure she will love the French Canadian vibes of Montreal!
On sadder news, I lost my job this month, which makes having access to COTA funds so important. I was the insurance holder for my family, currently our insurance is set to expire on the last day of this month. I have scrambled to get as many refills of Josiah’s meds as possible before coverage expires. Thankfully, I have already had an interview after only a day of looking and applying. Also, Josiah is considered “disabled” for 3 years after his initial diagnosis with renal failure. I have contacted SS to get him Medicare coverage, should I not be able to find a job as quickly as I like, Josiah will still be able to have affordable access to his doctors and medications.
God is good & he remains faithful,
