Today we are being tested. I messed up by telling Jude we have an easy day, JUST CLINIC (meaning a doctor visit only). Jude is now down to 57 pounds. The nutritionist & medical team made Jude get his NG tube back in(it fell out in his sleep Sunday). Jude threw an agonizing & heart wrenching fit. Damon & nurse held him down to put back in, the nurse wasn’t confident in her placement. She ordered an X-ray to verify the NG tube placement was fine. So we went out to Minsky’s (Jude’s favorite pasta in town) and received a call from Children’s Mercy. Unfortunately, Pneumatosis intestinalis was found on his X-ray. We have to be admitted with a PICC line for POSSIBLY 5-10 days. I am having emotional whiplash and poor Jude cannot EAT anything until the gas passes and there is no indication of infection….
