Today was simply a good day! It was hard work & training to get here…This is JUDE smiling with the GI nutritionist!!!! GOD is GOOD! ?He gained and is back to pre transplant-weight(60 pounds/12 years old boy/ definitely NOT a growth chart bragging right). We felt heard! Jude vomited up the NG tube Tuesday, we told him we can go to ER & get it replaced or TRY to drink 4 Ensure+ & continue to TRY new foods.. I give him 1-hour to complete the E+ or I need to make call to transplant team. Power struggles & frustrations galore on the home-front, but for this week we hit our goal!!! We are back home in MHK until September 19th(if life is good). Labs conducted locally @ Stonecreek Family Physicians & FedEx expresses to Children’s Mercy…

For now we are adjusting to new liver transplants new normals… we are respecting that air droplets & contact germs put Jude at potential risks for infections & rejection…

Not complaining & super compliant! Just 2020 government shut down order flash backs. The transplant team is so sweet, kind & patient with all of our questions & concerns…

However, they hammer home that t?hings will hit Jude 10 times harder! Hand washing, masks, avoiding big crowds is our biggest control.
