Today marks one month since Magnolia’s liver transplant. She has now been prescribed two additional medications, and the dosages of her current medications have also increased as the team continues working to better regulate her levels.
We are praying that her kidneys and other major organs are not affected by the amount of medication she needs to take. At times, her breathing and blood pressure are also impacted by the medications. Due to the volume of feeds they have her on to help expand her belly, along with the number of medications she receives (16 different medications, some given more than once a day), she is still experiencing 2–3 vomiting episodes daily.
On the bright side, Magnolia was finally cleared to go outside for a one-hour walk! This was huge, considering the last time she was able to be outside was on June 4th for her birthday. She giggled and smiled the entire time, enjoying the breeze, and seemed more alert and curious as she took in everything around her. She has also been doing an amazing job keeping her mask on when needed.

Hoy se cumple un mes desde que Magnolia recibió su trasplante de hígado. Ahora le han recetado dos medicamentos adicionales, y las dosis de los medicamentos que ya tomaba también han aumentado, ya que el equipo médico continúa trabajando para regular mejor sus niveles.
Estamos orando para que sus riñones y otros órganos principales no se vean afectados por la cantidad de medicamentos que necesita tomar. En ocasiones, su respiración y su presión arterial también se ven afectadas por los medicamentos. Debido al volumen de alimentación que recibe para ayudar a expandir su abdomen, junto con la cantidad de medicamentos que le administran (16 medicamentos diferentes, algunos de ellos más de una vez al día), sigue teniendo entre 2 y 3 episodios de vómito al día.
Por otro lado, ¡Magnolia finalmente recibió autorización para salir a dar un paseo de una hora! Esto fue enorme, considerando que la última vez que pudo estar al aire libre fue el 4 de junio, en su cumpleaños. Se rio y sonrió durante todo el paseo, disfrutando de la brisa, y parecía estar más alerta y curiosa mientras observaba todo a su alrededor. Además, ha estado haciendo un trabajo increíble manteniendo su mascarilla puesta cuando es necesario.
