These past few days have been all about adaptability. We have been trying to adapt to our new routine for Magnolia’s home care here in Durham. We’ve had three clinic visits; two of which Magnolia needed to get her NG tube replaced due to clotting.
Magnolia had a sip of ginger ale for the first time to help unclog her NG tube. We have added evening walks to the nearby garden as part of her nightly routine. Her medication schedules and dosage continue to change, but we are hopeful the doctors can finalize her best treatment within these next few weeks.
Overall, life outside the hospital has been much better and allows us all to get some much needed fresh air. Luckily, she is a fan of hats and sunscreen, which has helped tremendously with protecting her skin.
Please pray with us that the continuation of the week goes wonderful as she begins chemo next week.
