Magnolia’s Journey Continues, And So Does Our Faith.

We received updates from her latest imaging, and while there are still concerns that require close monitoring, we are holding on to hope and trusting God through every step.

Her chest X-ray did not show pneumonia, which we are thankful for. However, it did show interstitial prominence, meaning thickening in the tissues of the lungs. This can sometimes be associated with infections or viruses. The plan is to repeat the X-ray at her next clinic visit, and if the findings remain or worsen, a CT scan will be done to take a closer look.

Her CT scan continues to show severe narrowing of the main portal vein and persistent lack of visible blood flow through the hepatic artery connection, similar to her previous scan. For now, no intervention is planned, Magnolia will continue to be closely monitored as there is a possibility she will need additional interventions to correct the flow.

Beyond the scan results, our girl continues to face difficult days. She is still experiencing a lot of vomiting and struggling to retain her feeds, making it difficult for her little body to get the nourishment it needs. Overnight, she has also been experiencing several breathing attacks that have required us to give her breathing treatments multiple times throughout the night. Magnolia ended up needing to be admitted at the hospital for a more intense breathing treatment.

We are praying for her lungs to heal, for her breathing to become more comfortable, for her body to tolerate and retain her feeds, and for improved blood flow to her liver. We are also praying for wisdom and discernment for her medical team as they review her scans and determine the best steps for her future.

We do not have all the answers, and we do not know what tomorrow will bring. But we know the One who holds tomorrow. God has carried Magnolia through circumstances we once could not imagine, and we continue to believe that He is with her in every difficult moment.

Please keep our sweet girl in your prayers. Pray for peaceful nights, successful feedings, easier breathing, healing, and strength for her little body.
