Remi Is Home, With Mixed News
We are so happy to share that Remi is back home and doing beautifully. He is happy,
bright-eyed, and growing. You truly wouldn’t know he has been through so much just by
looking at him. He even rolled over for the first time last week. He is one remarkable
little guy.
We also have some harder news to sit alongside the good. His cholangitis and
peritonitis have both resolved, which is a significant milestone after everything his little
body has been through. However, his care team has let us know that Remi’s liver
transplant is likely to be needed sooner than we had originally hoped. We are
processing that news as a family, leaning on each other, and trusting the incredible
team in Boston to guide us through what comes next.
In the meantime, Remi will be having labs drawn twice a week at UVM and monthly
appointments with his Boston doctors to stay on top of things.
