Back at Boston Children’s: 2-Month Update
We have returned to Boston Children’s Hospital. Over the
past several weeks at home, fluid continued to build up in
Remi’s abdomen to the point where he was clearly
uncomfortable and struggling to eat well. We are relieved to
say there is nothing acutely alarming, the team here is
treating him with IV diuretics to help bring the fluid back down
to a manageable level.
While we are here, Remi will also begin the transplant
evaluation process. In the coming weeks, we hope to have a
clearer picture of what that timeline might look like. We don’t
yet know how long this stay will be, but we are in the right place, surrounded by the right
people.
We are deeply grateful for the team we have back home that makes it possible for our
family to be together during this time. It means more than we can say.
