Rose celebrates her 3rd birthday!

On January 19th, Rose celebrated her 3rd birthday with family and friends with cupcakes and a “tea party”. She just completed her developmental therapy she’s been doing through TEIS (Tennessee Early Intervention Services) since she was a few months old. Her therapist counts her as one of the most successful and extraordinary and turnround cases she has ever seen. 

Rose talks up a storm, runs, climbs, jumps, brushes her teeth and does all of the things a regular toddler does. She is no longer behind in any way developmentally and in some ways she is more advanced than other kids her own age. We could not be happier and more grateful for our precocious, curious, strong willed, endearing, extremely clever, personable and friendly little Rose. 

Medically Rose is stable and she gets blood work every 3 months to make sure her liver and body is functioning properly. She had a routine ultrasound to check on her liver and portal vein and all is looking very good for now! 

She has been in school this year and gotten all of the sicknesses going around. Sometimes she has fared pretty well and other times due to her immunosuppression, she takes much longer to heal and recover from the illnesses and she’ll get worse symptoms than the average child. We will never cease to be amazed at how far she has come.
