48 hours later ….

Hello again!  My apologies if I am posting too many blogs, but I am just so insanely proud of my boy!  Here we are, 48 hours after surgery and the progress Jackson has made is amazing.

The first image below shows Jackson a few hours after surgery on Monday, in his hospital bed with so many tubes and wires even more than you can see in the picture.  He could barely keep his eyes open – only long enough to make sure I was still there.  His nurse woke him up to check his vitals, IVs, and pain level once an hour through the night.

The second picture shows him 24 hours later.  He was able to let go of 2 of his 4 IVs and pain medication went from ‘on demand’ to once every 6 hours.  He was more alert on this day (Tuesday) but still slept for a good part of the day.  His vitals were taken every 2 hours throughout the night, so he was able to sleep a good deal more.

The third picture was from this morning (Wednesday) when I got to the hospital.  Awake, aware, and roaming the halls of the 9th floor!

The last picture was him at lunch time today – fresh from a shower and enjoying a nice warm burger.

I’m purely amazed at the progress in such a relatively short amount of time after a major surgery.  Thank you for praying for Jackson!
