Update

Jacob had labs this morning, and his creatinine looks stable! šŸ‘šŸ»

We have clinic tomorrow morning where we meet with the nephrology team and surgeon. I’m hoping they tell us we don’t need to come back until next week.

Monday will be a quick procedure to remove the stent in his ureter. He’ll be under anesthesia, but the whole process from start to recovery only takes about an hour.

It seems, according to my calculations, that his fluid input/output is leveling out. There is so much data to keep track of, not to mention all of the medications and the timing/rules that go along with that!

It’s a lot to stay on top of.

We’ve also been somewhat nomadic…traveling between friends and relatives who have been so welcoming and helpful in taking us in. We’ve been living out of a suitcase for a while! I’m hoping that as Jacob’s medication gets to an acceptable level, our visits to the hospital will become less frequent. šŸ¤žšŸ»

As if this wasn’t enough chaos, my mother’s funeral is next Friday, March 6th. Steve and Carter will fly up midweek for that and stay through the weekend. So even though it’s not the best of circumstances, I’m really excited to see them. I haven’t seen Carter for over a month, and I miss having Steve with us.

That’s all for now! Continued prayers, please, for us all to move on up and out of Pittsburgh and back to Florida! I also miss my own bed. 😓
