Quick trip to Pittsburgh to check in with the kidney transplant team at UPMC Children’s Hospital. 

Everything went well yesterday and the docs are happy. Jacob got weaned off of some of his meds and is allowed to play sports again as long as he is careful! His labs are relatively stable considering that he was sick for a couple of weeks. We will get labs done weekly and come back up to Pittsburgh for clinic on May 20. 👏🏻

Got to see some family and friends, ate some Primanti Brothers, and Jacob talked me into a $17 box of macaroons. Worth it. 

One of the highlights for me was to meet a kidney family that I became friends with back in November.  Nicole has been a god send and it was nice to finally meet her son who was also transplanted at UPMC about a year and a half ago. 💚 💖 ♻️ 💪🏻
