Jacob’s creatinine bumped up again. His urine output yesterday far exceeded his fluid intake, even with him meeting his goal of drinking 90oz of water. 😬 Hence his new kidney is a bit dehydrated.

His team said that they see this sometimes…his native kidney is still producing some urine and hasn’t shut down yet, along with his new kidney producing a lot of urine as kidneys often do in the immediate post-transplant period.

So we are stuck here another night. The plan is to measure his intake/output until 5pm today, then provide IV fluids again if needed to help balance out the discrepancy.
