The biopsy went well! We should have some preliminary results tomorrow afternoon. We are staying another night and getting more fluids, which is fine with me since I don’t have to harass Jacob to drink his 90 ounces of water!
The anti-rejection medication results came back pretty high so the doctors are tweaking the dosage again. It’s very difficult because this medication is very finicky and can affect Jacob‘s creatinine level. It’s a balancing act because he needs a certain level so that his body does not reject his new kidney, but not too high so that it becomes toxic to his system.
Anyway, I’m hoping to get a good nights sleep (ha!) and regroup tomorrow. Jacob is in good spirits. He had everybody in the OR cracking up as usual!
