The transplant evaluation in Pittsburgh was intense. Four full days of testing, meetings, and long hours at the hospital from 6:30am to 5pm… it was overwhelming, to say the least. But we absolutely love both teams (Jacob’s and Steve’s) and feel in our hearts that this is exactly where we’re meant to be. 

And yesterday… we got the news. Steve is a match for Jacob!

We are relieved, grateful, excited — truly every emotion at once. 

Surgery is set for January, and we should have the exact date next week.
