Our brave little warrior got to come home yesterday, just 8 days post-transplant!

Kennedy was so brave during her hospital stay. Though she had tears during her physical therapy sessions, she pushed through and made progress. She was experiencing some neck pain where her PICC line was placed for surgery, but we are so thankful that all her ultrasounds and other tests came back clear. She missed her big brother while she was at the hospital, but was so happy to be able to see him through Zoom. As each day passed, her personality shined through.

We’re all so happy that she’s able to be home where she can truly relax and heal. She’s already taken more steps around the house with Cody than she did during her week-long stay at the hospital. 

Thank you all for the check-ins, texts, love, prayers, kindness, and support that you have shown the Dorfman family during this time.

Aunt Kelly got to visit Kennedy while at the hospital. Kelly was able to come home 4 days after the transplant and has been doing well.
