The careful attention of the medical team at Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital reflects in each text that Tom sent out. Zoe’s strength of spirit shows as well.

Zoe is one amazing person!! Today during morning rounds the doctors decided to remove most of her leads and get her out of ICU and into a standard room. They are very very pleased as to how she is progressing. So well that next they said discharge Zoe to a close to the hospital location middle to end of next week. The team call her their “Rock Star”

Here is the next update. Last drainage tube removed. Zoe walked up and down the halls of ICU. Now she has been transferred to a regular room, resting, eating and healing. Everyone there is very impressed with her strength. During the next three days including the holiday she will get breathing treatments, physical therapy, and exercise. I will probably update less often but if anyone wants an update just text me. Please continue all your thoughts and prayers Zoe and all of us thank you very much.

Hospitals have different levels of care on each ward. The ICU is where a nurse is watching Zoe at all times. The goal of an standard room means that Zoe is considered stable enough not to need that level of monitor. Miracle or science either one works in Zoe’s life.
