James Redford, son of Robert Redford and two-time liver transplant recipient, passed away this month from bile duct cancer (cholangiocarcinoma).
Like Adam, Redford had PSC, a form of liver disease. The documentarian’s life was extended 20+ years through two liver transplants (this first one failed). Thanks to these lifesaving procedures, Redford was able to live to see his two children grow up.
Because of Redford’s personal experiences, he started a foundation to promote organ donation among many admirable endeavors.
