Today is our sweet Selah’s 13th birthday. We are still at UNC with Bexley, and it is so difficult not being with our other baby on her birthday this morning. I remember the days I prayed for her. She is the one who made me a mommy 13 years ago. It is such an honor and privilege from God to be their mom and to care for them. Happy Birthday Selah Jeann. Mommy, Daddy and Bexley love you a bushel and a peck and will see you soon to celebrate!

Update on Bex:

UNC ran several test and did a scope. They found the source of her internal bleeding was caused by esophageal varices. Those are a result of her liver disease and portal hypertension. They were able to treat 5 areas with banding. We will now have to go back to UNC every 4 weeks for them to do regular scopes. She was also given a blood transfusion due to her hemoglobin dropping so low. We are home now and so thankful as it has been such a scary few days.
